The Masterplan aims to transform the resort into a world class 21st century visitor destination that will provide a sustainable year round economy for all those living and working in Blackpool. Firework companies from all over the worls will be here again this year in Blackpool to stage a pyrotechnical display that will thrill and amaze all ages.

During last years shows more than a quarter of a million spectators watched as the skys above Blackpool hotels, famous attractions and Blackpool Tower fill with dazzling colours and sonic bangs from thousands of pounds worth of firewrks, launched from the north pier.

The shows tradionally takes place on the Sunday of the Blackpool illuminations switch on, followed by every Friday evening through September. [read more]

Traditional summer season shows at the British seaside seem now to be a thing of the past however more and more big names from the stage or screen still come to Blackpool each year.

The Winter Gardens, The Opera House and the North Pier still provide great shows and top names that are for all ages.

This year we have already had Boyzone here and still to come we have Chubby Brown, Phil Kelsall, Jane McDonald, Cannon and Ball, Micheal Ball, David Guest and Kevin 'Bloody; Wilson to name a few. [read more]
